Hi, I'm Luke — the person building Naia, an AI OS.
In my last post I mentioned I'd host a meetup "sometime next week" to find people who want to build this together. That first gathering is finally here. I'd like to invite you to the first Naia-OS open-source meetup.
📅 Meetup details
| When | Wednesday, June 10, 2026 — 10 PM (KST) |
| Where | Online (Microsoft Teams) |
| How to join | The Teams link will be shared in the Naia Discord |
| Language | Korean (no interpretation provided) |
| Host | Luke (solo) |
I've built Naia-OS on my own, so I'm hosting this first meetup on my own too. And that's exactly why it exists — to find people who'll build it with me.
🌏 A note for international friends — This post is published in multiple languages, and everyone is welcome to join regardless of nationality. Please note, however, that this first meetup will be held in Korean, with no interpretation provided. If there's demand, I'll consider distributing subtitles with the published recording.
🎬 First, the demo
It's faster to show than to explain. Here's an applied example of the voice-cloning capability in naia-0.9-omni-24g, the RTX 3090 voice module I released recently.
The character in the video is Rumi from KPop Demon Hunters. The point of the demo is to show that with just a single VRM avatar file and a few seconds of WAV audio, you can put your own character into Naia and talk to it in real time.
⚠️ Copyright notice — We have no partnership or license arrangement of any kind with KPop Demon Hunters or the Rumi character. For that reason we do not offer this character as an actual service. This video is a non-commercial technical demonstration made solely to show "this is what's possible with just a VRM file and a short audio clip." All assets used are credited below.
Asset credits
- VRM avatar — VRoid Hub, created by Frank Ustus (model link)
- Voice (WAV) — From a YouTube video featuring voice actor Shin Na-ri, the 0:48–1:08 segment (source video)
- Background — KPop Demon Hunters (2025) 4K wallpaper (source)
- Persona (tone & personality) — written with Gemini
Here's the takeaway: no elaborate training or datasets required. An avatar file + a few seconds of voice + a one-page persona is enough for anyone to bring their own AI character to life. And naia-0.9-omni-24g does it on a single consumer GPU (RTX 3090).
Want to build one yourself? You can download naia-0.9-omni-24g as a container and run it on your own PC. That said, I have to keep a roof over my head while sustaining this open-source project — so I offer 1 copy to anyone on the basic subscription ($10/month). Please think of it as the small bit of support that keeps the Naia open-source ecosystem growing.

🗣️ What we'll cover
The first meetup will run in three parts:
1. The story of building Naia-OS, and the roadmap
- Why I built Naia-OS, and how it's structured
- An introduction to Nextain (the company)
- Where Naia-OS is headed next
2. Naia-ADK — an AI-driven project development framework
- An introduction to the Naia-OS architecture
- Real cases of AI-Slop (plausible-looking junk code that AI generates) encountered while building in the open, and the techniques I use to minimize it
- The future of running Naia-OS as an open-source project
3. Recruiting contributors & gathering ideas on how to run the community
- How to contribute, and the benefits
- I want to hear your thoughts on how the community should be run
🤝 Who I'm hoping to meet
- Anyone who resonates with the idea of "my own AI, inside my own computer"
- Anyone who wants to help build an AI OS in the open
- Anyone interested in AI-driven development (ADK), voice AI, 3D avatars, or local model serving
- Anyone simply curious about why and how one person is building all this alone
You don't need to make a grand contribution. Just dropping by to listen, downloading the module to try it, and sharing your thoughts already means a lot.
📌 How to join
- First, join the Naia Discord below.
- On the day of the meetup, I'll post the Teams link in Discord.
- See you on Wednesday, June 10 at 10 PM (KST)!
📹 Can't make it on the day? No worries. The meetup will be recorded, edited, and published later, so you can catch up on everything even if you can't join live.
Thank you for your continued interest and support for what Nextain and Naia are building. See you at the meetup.
